Face Of Death - Pictures Of Princess Diana’s Last Moments On Earth
October 5th, 2007 | by Ginnie | (Visited 62,386 times)
I was shocked to come across these this morning on MSNBC. It’s been years since the controversy with the paparazzi possibly causing Princess Di’s death surfaced and bubbled over. There have been multiple movies made about dangerous paparazzi in general including Paparazzi, and plenty about Princess Diana herself, but from what I’ve heard, things had been kind of mum now.
Well either way, here a few of the pictures rehosted for you. I’ve put some captions with my own thoughts as well as the pictures seem horrifically mesmerizing. To see these pictures of people that died seconds later, is really quite disturbing.
Pictures of the driver and passenger seconds before the crash
These pictures are really haunting, you can see the shock in the driver’s eyes. It’s rare we get these kinds of pictures seconds before a person’s death, but not necessarily a good thing, especially if it’s related to the cause of the death.
Pictures of the aftermath of the crash
I thought the front wheel’s position was fascinating. Look at how deep into the sheet metal it is. That must have been an amazing force to push them that far back.
If you’re curious about the details, here is a little excerpt from the Wiki article on it:
On 31 August 1997, Diana, Princess of Wales was killed in a car crash in a limousine in the Pont de l’Alma road tunnel in Paris, France, along with her companion Dodi Fayed, and their driver Henri Paul. Fayed’s bodyguard Trevor Rees-Jones was the only car occupant to survive the accident.
Most reports and findings concluded that the cause was a car crash occasioned by the driver Henri Paul, who had consumed too much alcohol and had lost control speeding whilst trying to evade press photographers. There was controversy about the initial finding. Dodi’s father Mohamed Fayed (the owner of the Hôtel Ritz, for which the chauffeur worked) has spent several years attempting to obtain a full disclosure of the investigation. The police inquiry in France concluded that there was no evidence of conspiracy. A subsequent police inquiry in the UK, specifically into the conspiracy allegations, reported in 2006: it concluded that Fayed’s questions had no genuine basis for concern, and should be dismissed.
Inquests into the deaths of Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed began in London on 2 October 2007
And if you’d like to see the source of these photos, along with more pictures of the crash, you can see them here. I left some of the actual crash photos out as I was more interested in the ones shown.

Wow. I can’t believe it’s 10 years later and people still care about her. I just don’t get it.
maybe its becos she was a really nice person worth remembering who will remember amy winehouse or pete docherty a week after there death? not me
I agree, it was sad that she died and all, but millions die in car accidents.
That first photo is terrible though, its like he knows hes going to die
10 to 1 it was the flashing lights from the cameras that blinded the driver causing him to misjudge where he was in relation to the tunnel. You can tell by their expressions they were very concerned or even afraid and blinded. You take that it was night along with driving into a tunnel and then add the blinding flashes from the cameras and you have a disaster in the making. I think there should definately be a law against taking pictures of a moving car at night. I would also add a law saying they had to stay 5 to 10 feet away from you at all times and that they could not enter an establishment to take your picture unless invited by the star or the manager/owner of the business.
That’s just my thoughts on this anyway.

Those photos were not taken ’seconds before’ she died - they were taken as the car was driving away from the Ritz hotel in Paris - they drove miles further before the accident in the tunnel
i agree, the photo i’ve seen is not the same photo . mine shows trevor rees putting his hand on the stering wheering wheel
THIS IS A SCAM!!!

GOOGLE YRSLVS::
I saw videocamerafootage of the hotelelevator and hallway on tv. In the hallway at the backentrance of the hotel Dodi and Diana were waiting for the car to arrive. She wore a white blouse and black blazer!!!. Now look at her dress in your supposedly crashpictures..OOOPS§!. These pictures were taken long before that. So I think attentionwhores like you make facts harder to b believed by the average Joe. GET A LIFE, i´d say. Greetings from supercountry the Netherlands Europe.
I hope you have the guts and integrety to place my comment in wich i prove the pictures are scams .If not i will use perez hiltons to show the world what a scamartist you are.i mean what i say.
